Restoring / Recovering to a point in time in past using RMAN

Hello everyone

We have an 11g database

We make nightly backup (FULL LEVEL 0) each morning at 2 AM

The backups are residing on disk (FRA) group

RMAN recovery window is set to 4 days

CONTROLFILE AUTO BACKUP is ON

Now here is the scenario

Current date / time is Wednesday 9 AM

Last FULL backup ran, Wednesday 2 AM

Last FULL backup before that ran Tuesday 2 AM

We need to restore / recover the database to a point in time in past to (yesterday) Tuesday 6 PM

Here is what we think the steps would be

1. Shut down the database

2. Startup nomount

3. Restore controlfile from Tuesday 2 AM FULL backup
