FA Module - Deprecation issue

We are using Oracle Assets R12.1.3 and have a case as below:

Asset Cost: 27,830.00

Date Placed in Service: 31/08/2017

Net Book Value: 14629.67 (in 31/12/2016)

Depreciation method and rate (actually): STL - 5 years

Accumulated Depreciation (31.12.2016): 13200.33

When entering this asset in FA module with the above details and run the depreciation program (January-17) we saw that the monthly depreciation is '463.83',and I think it's correct 27,830.00/5 = 5566 and 5566/12 = 463.83.

But our customer expects that the monthly depreciation should be 471.92. They explained that the Depreciation rate for this asset when it was placed in service was 4 years (STL), and they changed it in 2015 to 5 years.
