wrongly defined GL calendar in 11i

Hi,

User has wrongly defined GL calendar period as Oct-18 instead Oct-17 and open the periods in GL as well as Payables and few transactions are entered in payable. Now we are trying to change the period name Oct-18 to Oct-17 but system is not allowing me to change. Oracle support team saying that the changes will not get revert as per standard functionality. So can any one please suggest me what are all the tables get update when open the period in GL and Payable. So that will try to replicate the issue in Development instance.

Note: Currently using 11.5.10.2 version
