JDE 9.2-Transportation Bill of Lading

Client requires NMFC item # (F4101.NMFI) to be printed on the Bill of Lading (R49110/R49115), however, client does not have this data maintained at item level on storage/shipping tab. Is there an alternative to printing the NMFC on the Bill of Lading?  Only thing I can think of is manually entering the NMFC # and Desc as a sales order attachment.
