Is there any way to specify an Item Alias in iProcurement?

I have two scenarios in which I want apply a proprietary Item Number to a catalog item.

1. Punch Out Catalog - after selecting the desired item from the suppliers catalog, I would like to add it to my shopping cart / requisition but using my own Item Number for material management purposes. Is there any way to do this? The assumption is that the PO sent to the supplier would contain their original reference so they know what it is I want, but also my Item Number so that inventory is appropriately identified.

2. Blanket Purchase Agreement - similar to #1, this time I have a BPA from which I'm selecting then item. Each individual item needs to carry it's own ID. Think of this as pre-serialization. The BPA has Item# ABC. I want to buy 3 of them but identified as Item#s DEF, GHI and JKL

Howdy, Stranger!
