Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. OID Generation/TNS Incorrect in sqlplus in instant client

Hi,

In macOS InstantClient

I'm getting

ORA-21561: OID generation failed

and or

ORA-12162: TNS:net service name is incorrectly specified

in oracle instant client with

sqlplus CSENGD_OWNER@\"ma-csengineeringd-ldb03.corp.apple.com:1546/csengd\"

Tried a number of things with various quotes, tnsnames but can't get it to connect.

What's up?
