Functionality to create repair jobs before ship confirm

Hello,

We have a business requirement where certain device based on certain items  attributes setting when they are placed on an order. At the time of pick release and before ship confirm these items need to go repair floor for some unique configuration. Item should move from its stock location or from stage subivnentory to repair floor . Get the configuration completed in repair floor and move back to stock location or stage subinventory and then get ship confirmed.

Want to check if there is any  functionality that can be used where we can create any link for a repair order or repair job from order management source transaction.
