Business impact on converting EBS R12 Standby database to Snapshot standby database

Hi Experts,

Q1. From 11g onward there is a feature Snapshot Standby database. Can we use this feature in R12 Database (If we convert physical standby EBS R12 database to snapshot standby database will it create any business impact)?

Q2. Do the license is required for Snapshot standby database ?
