Manually over ride pic

We have WMS enabled and are using picking rules to manage Move order picks to the warehouse.  In some circumstances we want our material controllers to be able to over ride the suggested pick and pick from an alternate sub inv and locator.
Can you please advise how we go about this? or if this is even possible?
