Hashing password for Admissions web services (SAD_ADMISSIONS)

Hello,

My question is it is possible use hashed passwords to authenticate students coming from an external online applications system in PeopleSoft? Specifically, whether it is possible to use hashed passwords in SCC_USERREG_AUTHENTICATE and SAD_SAVEAPPL / SAD_SUBMITAPPL web services?
