Vertex PR Q Geocode and FIPS cross-referenced in a custom interface?

Good morning,

We are building an interface to/from a 3rd party provider that only uses FIPS codes and we are needing to cross-reference the FIPS codes to the Geocodes.  The plan would be the provider would give us the FIPS code and within our custom interface we would bump it against a cross-reference to get the Geocode.  Has anyone ever created anything cross-referencing the FIPS code to the Vertex Geocode for PR taxes?  Looking for suggestions and anything that is a proven solution .
