tuned oracle profile

Hi,

I just wunder why "orachk" says that transparent hugepages are enabled, altough they are disabled in default grub with "transparent_hugepage=never" setting.

The solution: There is a daemon called "tuned.service" that default profile "throughput-performance"  which enables the transparent hugepages if needed.

See Doc ID 2096977.1 and

Bug 20178234 : FAILED TO DISABLE TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE AT BOOT VIA KERNEL PARAMETER FOR EL7

My question: If you try to search a tuned profile designed for oracle RDBMS (and RAC?) you will find it

"tuned-profiles-oracle.noarch : Additional tuned profile(s) targeted to Oracle loads"

but is this recommended to use it because it wins against the sysctl.cfg settings, made by oracle preinstall script.
