Do we have any automatic period open process for Oracle Projects GL and PA Periods ?

.Do we have any automatic period open process for Oracle Projects GL and PA Periods ?

When using EPP and Maintain common PA and GL periods ..While opening the Project GL period. the Update_PA_Period_Staus is getting fired to open the Projects PA Period automatically.

What does this Procedure/API do can we automate the Period Open Process using this procedure.

Note: Requirement is to automate the Period Open Process for Projects GL period(and PA Period).
