Anybody run into maflet stall errors? Can anybody assist with understanding of what the maflet is or

We are running on IBM Websphere. We receive maflet stall errors from our webshpere monitors when our EnterpriseOne sever experiences IPC errors. I'm thinking the maflet stall's are a resultant of the IPC error from the kernel. I've been asked by infrastructure support people to ask about more details of the maflet and is it communicating with the kernel process or with the database. They want to know if the maflet is causing the IPC error. I'm looking for specific detail to provide to them that the maflet doesn't cause the IPC error (99% sure i'm correct in that understanding).
