Disable text in Pick Applet Field SIEBEL

Hello Guys,

The pick applet field is allowing users to type values and do a tab which doesn't trigger the browser script written on the applet. is there a way to not allow users to not type anything on the field but force them to always use the pick applet. the pick list is bounded.
