Dynamic Server Oracle Net Tracing

It's possible to generate server side Oracle net traces for a single server process if you can identify that process.

You no longer have to turn on tracing for every single incoming connection!

Just follow the instructions in this document:

Start here under the Solution header:

Tracing a dedicated server process associated with a connected client. (Start 1b)


1) Find the process ID (PID) of the server process that will be traced, for Windows locate the thread ID.


b) Identifying a connected client's associated server process.

You can also turn OFF server tracing using the same feature!  Let's say you
