P4310 Purchase Order Best Price

Hi I'm working with the 9.1 environment.

Is there any configuration that supports best price/supplier when manually entering a purchase order? I've looked at P41061 and the FORM exit for Catalogs within P4310.

I want to create a purchase order but before inputting a supplier have the ability to quickly display the best price/supplier based on item #. It would display the records by price and supplier in which to select.

Also, you can create a catalog which contains item a, b, and c for supplier xyz, but I am not seeing how this functionality differs from simply creating (3) separate records in P41061 with a default catalog?
