Effect of deleting Locations from F41021 and F4100 tables on Inventory AsOf process

We have some old locations in our system which are not being used any more.  We don't want anybody to pick these accidently.  Through my research I figured that the system does not have a way to disable a location once it is created.  So the only option I have is to delete these from Item location file (F41021) and Location Master file (F4100).  I understand that programs P41024  and R4102P can be used for this. However I have following questions:

Will deleting locations cause any data integrity issues?

Will it cause any issue with Inventory AS Of process?
