eBS 11i and Java

What version of JRE  is eBS 11i certified from an Internal Application Server Tier perspective and an eBS client perspective? Am I correct in saying that eBS 11i will only work with Java 6 from an internal application perspective but will work with all versions of Java 6,7 and8 from a client certification perspective?
