E1 MRP - use of G increase message and order messages

We decide to try using G increase and L decrease messages as is the JDE default. But we are getting both a G increase message and a B order message for the same demand. Only sometimes.

Is this correct? The planner would not want to do both and this requires more manual intervention.

What have others experienced?
