Allocating Between Multiple Business Units By Percentage

We have a number of companies with multiple business units that we allocate expenses to by percentage.  I am interested how to handle this in JDE to eliminate additional work and user error.  For example, we are finding that when property managers enter an AP voucher it takes them twice as long and occasionally there are math errors.  Can we setup an allocation so that when voucher are entered in for a specific company or business unit it is allocated by percentage between multiple business units.  Ideally we would have an even broader application for this is if we could
