OVM 3.4.2 ntp service

Hello, I am working with OVM 3.4.2 in a production environment, currently there is no ntp service setting up in the OVM manager, if I set a NTP service would the vms be affected by this chang? Would it do some naughty things? and to doing so, should I change the ntp address (currently the ovm manager IP) on the edit configuration on each server? or should I modify the /etc/ntp.conf file in the OVM manager.
