Customer and Site locked in P17714 when I enter Parts or Labor

Hi,

We have a requirement that when the serial number is changed in work order, the customer and site number are to change accordingly. But these fields aren't updated when I change the serial number. I understood from different articles that is the standard feature and working as designed. The work around is change the serial and update the customer number and site number manually.

I was able to use the work around. However, if attach parts or operations against the work order, Customer and site is locked. Is this working as standard?
