TFA - does it ever work installed as non-root user?

I've tried downloading it and installing it a few times now and it does not seem to work when I try to install and run it as a non-root user.

I am trying to run it against an 11.2.0.4 EE database running on Linux x86_64 RHEL6.

The previous couple of installations I tried on another server, the folder structure was never what the pdf doc said it would be.

This latest time, I did not bother checking the folder structure again.  When I run it, it seems like it will work, but then cannot find its own log file, which it has misnamed.
