Smart View - Having to log onto same app twice after clicking "refresh" / time-outs

Some, but not all users are complaining that on some, but not all Smart View spreadsheets, they are prompted to log onto the same application twice when refreshing.

This is with HFM 11.1.2.4 and Smart View 11.1.2.5.600 (Build 185).

Searching on support.Oracle.com I see it is a documented bug (#21526607), but I'm not finding a straight answer as to what's the resolution.

Does anyone have any details on what's causing this (and why does it only appear on some, but not all sheets)?

Also, speaking of user complaints, before the upgrade to 11.1.2.4, Smart View users could stay logged on all day without ever timing-out, even though Workspace users timed out after ~30 minutes of inactivity.
