ColdFusion and Custom SSO

Hello everyone,

We'd like to set up SSO with BI Publisher for users of our ColdFusion application. Currently they login to the ColdFusion application using the cgi.auth_user variable which is passed from the web server to the application. How can we pass this variable to Publisher for SSO? We don't have OAM installed and we don't have administrator access to Active Directory.
