Impact of opening GL Period one week before the start date

Hi,

one of the user had opened by mistake periods till MAR-2018, and later closed all future periods. Now in the system APR-2018 period has status of "Future Entry".

As the period NOV-2017 has status of "Closed" instead of "Future Entry", users are not able to post any journals into NOV-2017.

we want to know  how to get the status of NOV-2017 as "Future Entry" (the form doesn't allow it) or If we open the period NOV-2017 one week before start date what are the implications?

appreciate your help.
