Increasing enabled cores.

Hi, one of our customers is evaluating the benefits of increasing the number of cores for their X5-2 system.  The sales has told us that, if necessary, we can lower the number of cores afterwards.

I'm pretty clear with the procedure for generating the new license key and apply it to the servers, and I also know that I'll need to modify cpu_count in our databases (when increasing the cores)

Now, I'd like to know the following:

  • Has any of you guys ever decreased the number of cores?  If so, any details on the procedure? Does it imply a redeployment?
