Sales Order Preview and Print

Has anyone attempted to customize the Preview and Print document in Order management?  I have found the RTF to adjust.  I am just unsure where to be able to add in data that I wish to view on the RTF.  I need to be able to pull in data per line and header.  Any info would be helpful.
