EAM Work Order PO details are not available for Direct item

Hi,

In EAM Work order, in case of Direct items PO which are with status IN PROCESS , if you click the link (PO number in materials tab of WO) the PO details are not available. But if the PO status is APPROVED then if you click the same link we can see the PO details. Is this an intend feature. If so what is the reason behind it. Thanks in advance
