Naming convention for New JDE920 Installation

I am planning for a fresh installation of JDE 920 with latest release 9.2.2.1 in Linux ES and Oracle database.

I have got one Windows 2008 R2 machine for Dep server and one Oracle Linux machine for Ent server.

But these machines only have IP address, don't have any host name or machine names because it is not associated with any domain.

Also I have checked that I can ping from any of the machine to the other, so no issues for inter communication for each machine.

Is it possible to install JDE with machines with only IP address or is it mandatory to have the host name or machines names ? Need a concrete answer with supportive document before I can proceed.
