Is it possible to merge bank accounts with different branch number?

Hi,

We currently have situation whereby the bank account was incorrectly linked to a branch number

It seems that we cannot unlink to the current branch and link it to the correct one.

So we might need to disactivate the current bank account and create a new one with the correct branch.

However, we wanted to know , is it possible to merge the old bank account to the new one because we do not want to lose the historical data ?

What is the best option to tackle this situation ?
