Initial Load from Active database using data pump and database link

Hi,

We are using oracle GG12c on Linux with source db on 11.2.0.4 and target 11.2.0.3. We are using classic capture/replicat.  We have to do the initial load. Database is active 24/7 and there are always open transaction with more than 5000 users concurrently using application services. Please help me to know how can know we  get scn from which i have to do the initial load and when i have to start the extract process so that i should not miss any data due to long running open transactions.
