Can we default the line manager to the next level if the current line manager is Terminated or Resig

Hi Team,

We have a requirement where in if the current Line Manger is terminated or has resigned and is having direct reports. So,  in that case can we assign the next level Manager in hierarchy as the new Line Manger for all the direct reports of the  Line Manager who is  currently inactive.

For Example :

There are two reports A and B who report to Line Manager C . Now, the Line Manager Hierarchy is such that that A and B report to C and C reports to D, who is the next level Manager in the Hierarchy. So, if the Line Manager C is terminated then can A and B be assigned to the Line Manager D automatically or manually.
