Approvals after a change is rejected

Hi Team,

I have created a global search for users to check the their changes that are in pending approval state. I am seeing weird behavior when a change is rejected with an approval pending. If it is approved after it is submitted upon corrections but still when I run global search it is considering previous pending approval. Is there anyway to ignore previous pending approval after the change is rejected.

Steps to reproduce.

1) Submit a change for approval

2) Reject the change when there is a pending approval

3) Submit the change again for approval

4) Approve the change

5) Run a search with pending approvals for the user.
