Associate a capital asset to a machine resource

Hi,

I would like to associate a capital asset to a machine resource

Here is an example of an asset i have

And here is the location tab for this asset

here are a couple of questions :

- what type of equipement item should i use in the equipement item field ? i have a limited liste of item showed in this list. Are those item particular in any way, in their definition ?

- can i use the same serial number of the asset for the serial number of the equipement ?

- i don't need and don't want those asset to be serialized or to move them in inventory. I just want to define them as machine resource.
