Apply VAT tax on Advance Receipts created in Receivables

I have one requirement of applying VAT tax on Advance Received from the customer. Currently there is no functionality available in Oracle Receivables to apply tax on Advance Receipts (Confirmed by Oracle in SR).

Kindly suggest some workaround.
