Updating an incorrect Adjustment Date on an Adjustment to an AR invoice

The Adjustment Date entered on an old Adjustment made to an AR invoice is 29-JAN-2019 when it should be 29-JAN-2016. The GL Date however was entered correctly as 29-JAN-2016. The Adjustment has already been processed and accounted for. The only problem is that this invoice shows up in a Bed Debt report as an open item due to the incorrect adjustment date when actually it is not. So my question is, can the Adjustment Date be changed from 29-JAN-2019 to 29-JAN-2016 without impacting anything else? I already have an SR opened regarding this and still waiting for a response. I
