How the linux server are going to be updated with latest patches on compute as well as BareMetal ser

Hi Team,

We have windows server in cloud either in compute or Bare Metal where we can enables the windows updates and patches can be applied to the server.

Like wise do we have facility in cloud where the Linux server patches get applied to server. Or can we make linux patches automatic just like windows.

Also if suppose oracle comes with windows server 2016 or latest linux on cloud and we are running on 2014 and linux 7.3 , then how we can user 2016 or latest linux machine  for JDE servers like DEP, ENT, DB and HTML servers.
