Oracle Dataguard Configured on OS (Primary & Standby) is not the same in version

Hi gurus,

A dataguard (Active Dataguard) configuration (existing) is running on following environment:

Primary:

OS - Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.3

database - oracle database 11.2.0.1

Standby:

OS - Redhat Enterprise Linux 6.2

database - oracle database 11.2.0.1

The above dataguard configuration is working fine (i.e running) and the replication is also running smoothly.

But my query is:

# In case of switchover & failover will it work smoothly or causes any trouble?
# Is this well organized or oracle supported or oracle recommended approach (as here the OS version is mismatch)? If not then what should be the way to come out?
