Manual override modifiers on the sales order

If I do a manual price override on an order line, directly on the price of the order - the manual modifier does not apply a "bucket" even though the modifier has a bucket on it.

Then, if I go to Actions, View Adjustments on the order line and manually apply the modifier from there - a bucket does appear?  Is there a way to get the bucket # to appear when I override the price directly on the price of the line?
