Why do I lose access to wancom0 as soon as I add a network interface to virtual SBC?

I was able to install and configure a virtual SBC in my lab environment with no issues.  I'm trying to configure a new virtual SBC in non-prod where I don't have direct access to vCenter.  I am following the same steps I used in the lab but when I add the first network interface and activate the config I Iose my connection to wancom0.  The SBC has been rebooted but I still can't establish SSH or HTTP connections. The only difference between lab and non-prod is that I have two different VLANs connected the virtual interfaces in non-prod and not
