ETCC Doubts

We have ERP 11.5.10.2 system with DB 11.2.0.4 running on IBM AIX 6.1 . We are following 1320300.1 to upgrade our current ERP system to R12.2.7 along with DB to 12c .

I have a small doubt. while referring ETCC notes , do we need to apply the DB one-off patches on DB 11g Oracle_home(current) or new 12c Oracle_Home created by Startcd 51(rapid install)?

And anyway after Rapidinstall steps are done we will be upgrading DB from 11g to 12c and then anyhow old 11g oracle_home is off no use.
