Setting/Resetting _asm_imbalance_tolerance while ASM Rebalance is still running

Hi all,

For the 11.1.0.7 or 11gR1, we know that there is a default of _asm_imbalance_tolerance = 3% when we do ASM rebalance of  any diskgroup.

Thus, to avoid one of the disk being growth significant than others and even distribution, we set _asm_imbalance_tolerance=0 prior rebalancing start.

Just wondering if we can reset the _asm_imbalance_tolerance back to original value while the ASM rebalancing still running? Any impact?

Or it is best practice to reset after the ASM rebalance has completed?
