Invalid username/password; logon denied when logging on to oracle database 12cr2

Hi all

My problem is on logging into an oracle database 12cr2. I always get an invalid username/password, logon denied when ever I logon to oracle database 12cr2. Before, I can connect to the database right after database install. However when connected to forms and reports; I cann connect to the report server getting the error:  ora-501: cannot connect to the specified database.. So, based on prior experiences, I issued the command: ""alter system set sec_case_sensitive_logon=FALSE". After issuing the alter system statement, I cannot logon on to the database any more. If i set the sec_case_sensitive_logon=TRUE again, I can logon on to
