Can I use multi period accounting with purchase orders?

Hello Colleagues,

We are running E-Business Suite 12.1.3.

For invoices that we have to pay in advance that cover a future period - e.g. Rent that is paid 1st January, but covers period 1st January till 31st March. We must pay the full amount on 1st January and then use manual journals to spread the rental charge across the three months to correctly account for the liability in each month it is incurred.

I understand that Multi Period Accounting feature will remove the need for manual journals as the system will automatically create accounting entries each month, moving the charge from a control account to the actual charge account. We've tested this and the feature works fine for us. However we would like to use purchase orders with MPA.

Howdy, Stranger!
