Application Diagnostics responsibility in our Production environment.

Hello, I have a user who would like to have the Application Diagnostics responsibility assigned to him in our Production environment.  I am not quite sure whether I should give them this responsibility in Production.  I would welcome any recommendations / suggestions that you may have.  Thanks!
