Cycle out of sync

We have periodic issue where some PM Schedules stop forecasting and I notice that the current cycle is always out of sync with the forecast cycle.  In attached screenshot, current cycle on PM Schedule is 37 but forecast is 12, 13, 14, 15.  I would expect forecast cycle to be 38,39,40 etc.  But perhaps I dont understand functionality
