is it possible to enter Job Work Challan number manually in Oracle R12.1.3?

business users would like to enter Job Work Challan Number manually. Currently system generates running sequence number based on Document Sequencing setup for OSP challan in Oracle Financials. But business wants to enter the challan number manually. As per my observation "Form Number" field is non-editable when cross checked in system. Please suggest .
