P16902 - Adding custom table for Flex in JD E1 9.2

It was earlier not possible to add any custom table under P16902 where we define table to be used for flex fields. But Oracle documents/support site do mention this limitation was till 9.0 only.

So can we add custom tables not in P16902 to be used in flex accounting.
